The U.S. Marin Corps has a requirement to fit a new radar for 88 of its F/A-18C/Ds and Raytheon has confirmed that it performed a fit check of its APG-79(V)4 radar at the request of the service last month.
Rival Northrop Grumman is competing as well but is unwilling to share any information.
