Auditors say the early warning aircraft could not meet eight of the 18 operational requirements specified by the Indian Air Force. The service has demanded that these eight deficiencies should be fixed on the second aircraft but the DRDO says three of requirements are not important and won’t impact operations.
The report also highlighted the selection of Embraer 145 as the platform. Saying that it leads to design constrains.
