France kicks off study on replacement for carrier Charles de Gaulle

France has announced a study to determine its requirements for a new aircraft carrier to replace Charles de Gaulle.

Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly said the study will assess the size requirements, propulsion options and aircraft launching capabilities.
