Saudi Arabia has signed letter of offer for THAAD

A U.S. State Department spokesperson confirmed to CNBC that Saudi Arabia has signed a letter of offer and acceptance with the United States for Lockheed Martin’s THAAD air defense missile system.

The government-to-government agreement was signed this week. The deal is worth around $15 billion and Saudi will eventually take delivery of 44 THAAD launchers, missiles and related equipment.
