The Slovak government has signed a contract with representatives from Lockheed Martin on Dec. 12 to buy 14 F-16 fighters.
The deal is worth $1.8 billion. Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini was on hand to witness the signing ceremony. Pellegrini had said earlier that the deal required approval from the finance ministry.
