The U.S. government has cleared the sale of two sets of AN/AAQ 24(V)N Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) for installation on India’s two Boeing 777 VIP transport aircraft.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency says the estimated cost is $190 million.
It was reported back in March 2018 that India plans to convert two of the youngest 777 in Air India’s fleet to become VIP jets.
