BAE Systems has upgraded the AN/ASQ-239 electronic warfare system for the F-35, the company declared on Feb. 28.
The new system has a “smaller footprint, reducing volume and power requirements – creating space for Block IV modernization upgrades.”
The company also dealt with manufacturing obsolescence issues that would have otherwise required costly redesign work.
