The MAGMA unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has successfully demonstrated two ‘flap-free’ technologies at the Llanbedr Airfield.
Using blown air accelerated to supersonic speed. The team from The University of Manchester and BAE Systems is able to replace trailing edge flaps and thrust vectoring nozzle with non moving parts.
