Press reports from Canada says Ottawa is willing to loosen the industrial requirements for its fighter competition in order to allow the F-35 to compete.

Washington had complained that the current terms, in which the bidders must offer industrial benefits to Canada, goes against the terms of agreement that Canada signed as a partner in the F-35 program.
In the latest briefing to bidders, the government says bidders who do not offer industrial benefits will still be allowed to bid but will be deducted points in the assessment.
