South Korea has pushed back a planned ceremony to induct the F-35A into service from May till an unspecified date.
Meanwhile, the state auditor has pointed out problems with how the offset negotiations to buy the F-35s were carried out.
The Board of Audit and Inspection (BAI) said the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) had “failed to abide by some relevant regulations over the course of negotiations.” Some DAPA officials were also found to have lied to the government committee in charge of approving the purchase.
