India’s investigation into the fatal crash of a Mirage 2000 fighter this year found that the incident is probably caused by a fault with the jet’s fly-by-wire flight control system.
The jet’s noise had pitched down suddenly after lift off. Causing it to smash into ground.
Investigators found that such sudden uncommand sudden change in pitch had happened previously.
Dassault had blamed loose pitch rate gyrometers as the potential cause during the previous incidents.
However, analysis of the debris from the Feb. 1 did not find any loose sensors.
