There was one USN P-8A in South China Sea as Liaoning enters the area

Data collected by ADS-B Exchange suggest a U.S. Navy P-8A was sent over the South China Sea as the Chinese aircraft carrier Liaoning was reported to have entered the area on Jun. 18.

The maritime patrol aircraft proceed to fly over the Taiwan Strait before turning back over north of Taipei for the Luzon Straits. The mission ended with the aircraft landing in Okinawa.
