India’s HTT-40 indigenous basic trainer will be ready for production in December, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) has declared.

The aircraft has completed two of the six spin tests required. The company is now asking the Air Force to add another 36 aircraft to the original order for 75 planes.
