F-15Es from Lakenheath carried out first FARP

The 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath has conducted its first Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP) exercise using the F-15E for the first time.

A crew chief assigned to the 48th Fighter Wing approaches an F-15E Strike Eagle assigned to the 494th Fighter Squadron on the flightline at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England, Sept. 12, 2019. A pair of jets landed at RAF Mildenhall to carry out the exercise with the 352nd Special Operations Wing and 100th Air Refueling Wing on Sept. 12.

The fighters were refuelled on the ground by a MC-130J. Bombs to re-arm the F-15Es were also unloaded from the cargo plane and assembled on-site.
