A group of retired former employees of China’s Xi’an Aircraft Industrial Corporation recently protest outside their former company demanding to get their pension payments.
It was speculated that their pension funds were embezzled by Li Shouze, the former project manager of the KJ-2000 AEW aircraft. Li died on Dec. 6 under mysterious circumstances. An unverified news report said Li jumped from a building after learning that he will be investigated for channeling $115.6 million into his pockets during the development of the Y-20.
