69th Bomb Squadron to extend deployment at Guam

U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command has decided to keep the 69th Bomb Squadron at Guam longer than planned in order to have forward-deployed bombers in the Indo-Pacific region.

The Minot Daily News was told that “ongoing maintenance issues with the B-1B fleet” and “other B-52 deployments” lead to the extension.

Usually, the bombers will be deployed to Andersen Air Force Base for six months.
