USAF ends continuous bomber presence at Andersen AFB

The U. S. Air Force does not have any bombers deployed at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam since Apr. 16. Ending its 16-year continuous bomber presence there.

“U.S. strategic bombers will continue to operate in the Indo-Pacific, to include Guam, at the timing and tempo of our choosing,” Air Force Magazine quoted a statement by Air Force Global Strike Command.

The service will now switched to a dynamic force employment that keeps the bombers on mainland United States that allows its B-1s B-2s and B-52s to operate from a “broader array of overseas locations.”
