VAW-120 achieves 1,000 aerial refueling contact

VAW-120, the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) for the E-2, has achieved its 1,000th aerial refueling contact on Apr. 16

NORFOLK, Va. (September 9, 2019) – An E-2D Hawkeye being recieved by the “Greyhawks” of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 120 completes landing procedures at Naval Station Norfolk Monday, September 9. This is the first E-2D Hawkeye with aerial refueling capability to join the fleet, increasing the Navy’s battlespace awareness and integrated fire control — both from the air and the sea. The milestone was reached during a qualification flight in aerial refueling procedures for squadron instructors.
