The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has completed the construction of twenty new third generation hardened aircraft shelters (HAS) at Kunsan Air Base, South Korea.
A ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the transfer is scheduled for July 2020.
Twenty existing aircraft shelters were demolished and 18 more new aircraft shelters are to be built.
These new shelters will allow the aircraft to start up with the hangar doors closed as they are installed with ventilation and engine exhaust system.
