EA-18Gs from VAQ-209 are being paired with F-16s from the 13th and 14th Fighter Squadrons for joint Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD) training over the course of several weeks.

It is hoped that these daily flight trainings at Misawa Air Base, Japan can help develop and strengthen the interoperability of Air Force and Navy aircrew.
The F-16s were tasked with finding and destroying the targets while the FA-18Gs would jam any radars from enemy threats.
