King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands visited Volkel airbase on Jul. 9 and he also flew in a F-16 to observe a training mission.

He was also told during the trip that the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) will phase out the F-16 for the F-35 in 2024.
