Leonardo has delivered the first of two AW169 basic training twin engine helicopters to the Italian Army.
Two AW169 trainers will allow the Army to familiarize with the platform’s basic characteristics, supporting the transition to the new LUH program, developed on the AW169 dual-use baseline.
The new helicopter is designated UH-169B and will replace the A109, AB206, AB205, AB212 and AB412.
