A Eurofighter detachment from Luftwaffe’s Taktisches Luftwaffengeschwader 71 “Richthofen” is now in Lithuania for joint Quick Reaction Alert training alongside the Eurofighters from the Royal Air Force (RAF).

The training is part of the Eurofighter Interoperability Enhancement program under the two air arms.
The Germans will work together with the 135 Expeditionary Air Wing deployed to Siauliai Air Base. There are 30 personnel from the Luftwaffe participating in this exercise. The unit is expected to take over the Baltic Air Policing mission in Estonia later this year.
