The grounding took place after a F-2B was found to have a hairline crack on a wing after post-flight inspections was carried out at Matsushima air base on Sept. 8.
All jets there then inspected and flying resumed on Oct. 1.
The Ministry of Defense refused to comment on the issue when approached by the media.
