A new compact airborne active electronically scanned array (AESA)radar dubbed AirMaster C was launched by Thales on Oct. 16.
Designed for small and medium-sized platforms, Thales indicated that the French military would like to integrate the radar on its Guépard future light joint army helicopter.
By using SiGe (silicon-germanium) technology, Thales is able to achieve more energy efficient while allowing the radar to self cool.
