The U.S. Navy has grounded the MQ-8C after two accidents, one in California on Nov. 10 and another incident on Nov. 16 in Maryland.

The first incident occurred when the unmanned rotorcraft was approaching to land at NAS Point Mugu and it crashed.
Six days later, a ground rotor turn at Naval Outlying Field Webster resulted in the MQ-8C becoming unresponsive. Even though the helicopter was chocked and chained, it broke loose and the rotors hit the ground and separated from the airframe.
