USAF can borrow a prototype and take it to Nellis AFB to fly and test against it’s stable of Eagles. Vipers, and Raptors plus a borrowed USN F-5N and the secret aircraft already produced.
Plus whatever Mikoyan and Sukhoi airframeS sleeping in the bed down hangars built for F-117s.
