An ancient Japanese ground-breaking ceremony called jichinsai (地鎮祭) took place at Yokota air base, Japan on Jun. 4.
An Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) CV-22 Osprey Facility Simulator will be built on the site and the building will be ready by September 2023.
The 9,100-square-foot structure will house a full-motion flight simulator and will be the only CV-22 simulator in the region.
