A pair of Su-30SM flying at the MAKS 2021 airshow was actually flown by a father and son team. Vyacheslav and Evgeniy Averyanov. Vyacheslav is the chief test pilot at Irkut. His son Evgeniy is his wingman for the demo.
Dmitry Shugayev, the chief of Russia’s Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, told Deutsche Welle that the Su-30 fighter jets ordered by Myanmar is still on schedule to be delivered to the country.
