The Russian military has determined that the Su-35 pilot who shot down a Su-30SM during a mock dogfight on Sept. 22 last year will be charge with criminal conduct.

The Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office (GVP) has put up a case and transferred to it the Tver Garrison Court on Oct. 21. A judge is currently studying the materials before the case can be heard in court.
Kommersant identified the pilot as Maj. Vasily Savelyev. He had failed to check that the master armament switch of his jet was turn off during the training exercise.
