The Pentagon announced on Mar. 16 that Boeing has been awarded a $24.5 million undefinitized contract modification for the F-15 Japan Super Interceptor program.

The contract is to meet a Foreign Military Sales requirement to add electronic warfare system initial non-recurring engineering work.
Boeing has until Dec. 31, 2028 to complete the work.
Last year, Japan disclosed that one of the reasons the price of modifying the F-15J to the JSI standard was because it had to switch from the ALQ-239 Digital Electronic Warfare System (DEWS) to the new Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS).
