The Irrawaddy reports that Myanmar has ordered several FTC-2000G advanced jet trainers and that Hong Kong company Gateways Hong Kong Ltd. brokered the deal.
It was further reported that at least eight pilots from Myanmar have traveled to Kunming, China to receive training on the aircraft. They were accompanied by eight technicians and at least two armaments officers during the trip in June.
The jets will be base at Namsang airbase once delivered.
