This year’s iteration of Exercise Keen Sword, a joint military exercise by Japan and the U.S., will see Japan airlifting the Type 16 maneuver combat vehicle to Yonaguni airport using the C-2.

The wheeled armored fighting vehicle will then be driven from the airport to the garrison on Yonaguni island, which is just 108 kilometers east of Taiwan.
Documents submitted by the Self-Defense Force revealed that the C-2 will operate at Yonaguni airport between 12:00 pm to 1:10 pm on the 17th and from 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm on the 18th. It is expected to arrive from Tsuiki air base.
