DARPA has chosen General Atomics to research and develop the low-cost long-range seaplane program dubbed Liberty Lifter.
The work by General Atomics has to be completed by May next year and nearly $8 million was given to the company for the effort.
The Liberty Lifter is envisioned to fly over long-distances across the ocean while utilizing the “wing-in-ground effect.”
