A U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer bomber crashed just before 6 p.m. Jan. 4 while attempting to land at Ellsworth Air Force Base. Thankfully, all four crew members onboard ejected safely and are currently being evaluated for any injuries.
The aircraft was on a routine training mission when the incident occurred. Details regarding the cause of the crash remain unclear, and the Air Force has initiated a board of officers investigation to determine the circumstances behind the incident.
Weather conditions at the time was unfavorable with poor visibility and low clouds.
