USAF training to fight in environment without GPS, data links

The U.S. Air Force has been training its fighter and bomber crews to fight in contested airspace whereby GPS, data links and communications won’t work.

Currently, such training are carried out in simulators as switching off GPS is difficult in U.S. airspace.

However, work is being done on the aircraft’s GPS antenna to simulate the effects of jamming.
