The 167th Airlift Wing said goodbye to its last C-5A strategic airlifter on May 19. It will transition to the C-17.

The ceremony also marked the end of a 52 year partnership between the 167th Airlift Wing and Lockheed Martin. The unit had been flying Lockheed Martin’s transport aircraft since 1962.
