56th and 57th Rescue squadrons relocating to Italy

Starting from fiscal year 2017, the U.S. Air Force’s 56th and 57th Rescue squadrons, currently at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, will operate out of Aviano Air Base, Italy.

About 350 personnel, five HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters and Guardian Angel weapons systems are expected to relocate.
