The U.S. Army wants an open-architecture controller that can protect airborne, ground and maritime platforms from incoming threats. It found a solution from Lockheed Martin and the aerospace giant was given two contracts for continued development of the controller for the U.S. Army’s Modular Active Protection System (MAPS) program.
