Denel in JV with Hong Kong company to target Asian markets

South African arms manufacturer Denel has paired up with Hong Kong-based VR Laser to set up an arms factory in the former British colony.

Acting CEO Zwelakhe Ntshapo said Denel Asia is set up to help his firm expand into the Asia-Pacific markets. The joint venture is targeting fields such as artillery, armored vehicle, missiles and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems.
