Canceling the B-21 contract will cost the American taxpayer $300 million

During a Senate hearing, a top U.S. Air Force officer revealed that the American taxpayer will stand to lose $300 million if the Pentagon is to cancel the cost-plus contract with Northrop Grumman to build the B-21 bomber.

It will take another “20 to 30 months” to switch to a fixed-price development contract in another round of competition, said Lt. Gen. Arnold Bunch.
