The Pacific Command air contingent in Philippine conducted the flight on Apr. 19.

The same Chinese spokesman said the U.S. is using the freedom of navigation as an excuse to militarize the region. The person added that Scarborough Shoal is Chinese territory and China will defend its sovereignty.
