At least 60 commercial flights scheduled for Naha airport in Okinawa, Japan had to be canceled or diverted after a two-seat F-15 belonging to the JASDF lost its nose wheel while preparing to take off on Jan. 30.
The jet was part of a 4-ship formation scheduled to depart at 1:20 p.m. local time when the incident happen.
The use of the main runway was not restored until 3 p.m.
