Boeing’s supporters in the U.S. Congress are suggesting that the Integrated Fleet Aerial Refueling Assessment (IFARA) calculation be scrapped from the KC-X contest.
The IFARA was leaked to both competitors accidentally and since then both sides were able to see each other’s data. Boeing asserted that the calculation used in the assessment favored EADS’ bid.
