The Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) has given Saab a contract to further develop the RBS15 anti-ship missile.
Deliveries of the weapon – which will come in both air-launched and ship-launched configurations – is to start this year and end in 2026.
Saab said the new variant has an improved combat range, an upgraded target seeker, and a lower mass. It will be carried by the Gripen E and Visby corvette.
