Su-27SM3 spotted in Syria; 62 Red is last Su-27 to be built

A visit by Syrian leader Bashar Assad to the Russia air base in Latakia has revealed the presence of a Su-27SM3 fighter there.

This particular aircraft, 62 Red, bears the serial number 41001 and was rolled out of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur plant in 2011. It was the last Su-27 ever manufactured.
