MQ-9 dropped GBU-38 JDAM in combat for the first time

On a mission in support of Operation Inherent Resolve on Jun. 23, a MQ-9 dropped a GBU-38 JDAM munition in combat for the first time.

The 16-hour flight was also saw the combat debut of the Block 5 variant of the MQ-9 which must also be flown with the new Block 30 cockpit.
