U.S. to allow Taiwan military observers to watch anti-submarine drills

The United States has agreed to let Taiwanese military observers watch how its navy conduct anti-submarine drills. The agreement will take effect next year.

Previously, such observers were only allowed to watch from the sidelines. This time, they will be given access to observe the employment of tactics and training of personnel.
