The Pentagon has once again rescheduled the planned deployment of CV-22 Osprey in Japan. U.S. Forces, Japan announced on Apr. 3 that five tilt-rotors will be arriving at Yokota Air Base this week.

The Department of Defense said last year that the aircraft will not be in Japan until 2020. But has now move forward the plan to address “regional security concerns in line with the recently released 2018 National Defense Strategy.”
However, the deployment is for a short period of time and the Ospreys will depart Japan to conduct training around the region for the next few months.
