The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has revealed to Jane’s details of the X-60A flight test program.

The first two flight tests will be performed at the Cecil Spaceport in Jacksonville, Florida, and will fly south off the coast of Cape Canaveral, according to Doug Dolvin, AFRL research leader for hypersonic flight research and experimentation.
The X-60A is an airdropped liquid rocket specifically designed for hypersonic flight research.
